I participated in a photo workshop out in the Eastern Sierras in January. It was my first visit to Mono Lake, actually to this part of California. What a magnificent treat. I am not a fan of cold weather but the beauty of Mono Lake in the snow under the layer of Pogonip fog pushed aside any discomfort that I experienced. I didn’t even mind getting up to shoot sunrise at -5F! I would like to see Mono Lake during other seasons, but the display of frosted beauty will be difficult to beat.
